What is your WHAT?

Posted: October 30, 2013 in Uncategorized

“What is your why?” This question is stuck in my mind. When I go to the emergency room with my daughter at 2:00 am I know my why. Now that the mystery is solved I need to get the question answered to “What is my how?”

So many people have great ideas but don’t know how to translate that into activity. This has been a struggle in my own progression to maturity. Just my 2 cents at 3:30 am.

The most important part of any relationship is communication. One area that is even a bigger struggle at times is communicating what’s in your mind to your lips so others may hear. This may sound philosophical but the more I know about certain topics, the more I want to share it with the world. Have you ever heard someone say “if only I could explain what’s in my mind”. I know this has happened to me. If anyone has a system of getting thoughts out of that vast brain and onto paper, please share it with me.

“The man who promises everything is sure to fulfill nothing, and everyone who promises too much is in danger of using evil means in order to carry out his promises, and is already on the road to perdition.”
Carl Jung

This saying is changing my life as I type this. I first heard someone say it on a podcast called ‘You need a budget’ (YNAB) about 2 weeks ago. It’s easy to feel intimidated when thinking about something new. Fear of failure can freeze you in place and you never follow through because of fear. I can speak from experience on this. The biggest obstacle to our success is usually our own mental attitude.

If you are struggling to break through the mental hang-ups in life, I recommend listening to podcasts while you drive if you have that opportunity. My favorite podcasts deal with entrepreneurship and business. Some that I recommend are “entrepreneur on fire”, “social media marketing”, “the smart passive income podcast” and ‘learning with leslie”.

I know these podcasts may not fit you but I’m just putting ideas out there to get you thinking outside the box.

I am a firm believer that there has always been a correlation between those of us that suffer from PTSD, whether it was military service, trauma at home, or any other situation that warrants this diagnosis. Not everyone who goes through trauma gets PTSD but I do feel that this disorder, disease, or whatever else you want to call it, keeps people from getting a “normal” job. If you have this issue you know what I’m talking about. Twenty jobs in the past 7 years, etc…

This website and Sgt Brandi’s books have helped me with struggles throughout these struggles. I will work on getting links to many others that I have read and want to help you get income coming in. Please contact me to see if I can help you with business opportunities, or just visit about your struggles with a fellow veteran.

You may have to copy and paste this link while I learn how to post links better. I warned you that I’m a work in progress here. 🙂

This article hits to the core of what I have been working on personally and I know others are in the same situation. Finishing what you start sounds easy at first but we all hit potholes or take a wrong turn periodically.
